Somewhere between Paryang and Saga, a town that refused to give up its name.

  1. It's so sad to think about how much beauty we've ruined with our garbage, even in the most remote places. I was listening to a podcast about Mount Everest recently, and they were talking about how much garbage and junk people leave up there.

  2. Unfortunately it's a characteristic of both Chinese and Tibetans to litter. And some. It's heart-breaking and mortifying.

Climbers are particularly bad for Everest. They don't want to carry any more weight than necessary, and so jettison the rubbish they generate along the way.
