Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - JK Rowling

What is there to say about this book that hasn't already been said? Nothing!

She still needs an editor, although this book is superior to the last. The dynamics between all the school kids are fantastic; she knows how to do teenagers in the middle of puberty, and do them right.

That sounds wrong.

The end was spoiled for me long ago, which turned out to be a good thing. No shock involved. I would have regretted throwing the book across the room. It's the nice cloth-bound hardcover.

The end was, I think, pretty much inevitable from the beginning.

And that's all.

  1. We're on to her tricks, yeeeesss, precious. I guessed the ending myself from Chap. 2. And now we're all scouring previous books looking for the clues that will add up to events in 7... and there are certain crackpot theories that all is not what it seems at the end of HBP, in more than one way...

  2. Actually, what really unnerved me at the end was all the talk of dropping out of school.

The reason I read these isn't for the war between wizards, but for Hogwarts.
