Mostly because I haven't seen it marketed as "one of the best books of the year", but only as "taking a non-European perspective".<BR/>I don't want to read a book because it's different. I want to read a book because it's good. Yet all the cover blurb was telling me was that this book was different.<BR/><BR/>So... thanks for this report! shiny cover + Shads recommendation easily trumps bad blurb, and means it'll be on the list the next time I run out of books. :) (Though after thanksgiving, I expect that won't be for another year.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
